Product Design Competition (PDC) 2025: Sustainable Design : Pathway to Greener Economics

Production System Laboratory, Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, proudly announces the 15th Product Design Competition (PDC) 2025.

This annual competition, organized by the Production System Laboratory, Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, is open to university students from various institutions.

Theme:

"Sustainable Design: Pathway to a Greener Economy"

The competition invites innovative product design ideas focusing on the following sub-themes:

  1. Green Energy and Clean Technology

  2. Recycled and Upcycled Products

  3. Sustainable Urban Building

  4. Sustainable Agricultural Technology

Important Dates:

  • Registration & Abstract Submission: February 1 – March 26, 2024

  • Abstract Submission: Free of charge

Awards:

  • 1st Place: USD 1,200

  • 2nd Place: USD 800

  • 3rd Place: USD 400

In addition to the main prizes, special awards will be given for the following categories:

  • Favorite Product

  • Best Presentation

  • Best Poster Design

  • Best Video
