Universitas Sumatera Utara
Established in 1959 as the 4th faculty at the Universitas Sumatera Utara, the Faculty of Engineering USU has developed and has 7 Bachelor programs, 6 Master programs, 5 Doctoral programs and 2 Professional programs, each of which has good accreditation. In organizing educational activities and aiming to produce experts in the field of engineering science, FT USU provides adequate facilities and provides the best quality in learning by collaborating with experts and educators who are competent in their fields.

The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU)'s' Library began with the establishment of the Universitas Sumatera Utara on August 20, 1952. Until 2017, there were 13 University Libraries of Faculty Branches and USU Hospital Branches that had implemented an integrated service system with the University Library. The USU library now provides a variety of services such as the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), journals and electronic books as well as the USU repository.
Through a system integrated with the USU Library, the FT USU Archives provides a collection of records of activities, reports, research and letters received and issued by FT USU. FT USU Archives is committed to preserving faculty archives and providing the best service to students, faculty and the public.
