Description

The Built Environment Laboratory of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, focuses on area conservation, the preservation of historical buildings and sites, and the study of local culture and traditions. The laboratory also explores the application of regulations and customs relevant to specific places or areas. Furthermore, we delve into the design of outdoor spaces within a simple environmental context, identifying fundamental concepts and elements of outdoor spaces, site analysis, and the design capabilities for access, circulation, and parking areas, including the design of outdoor spaces defined by building mass.
