Electrical Energy Conversion Laboratory

Description

The Electrical Energy Conversion Laboratory is one of the academic facilities of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara. This laboratory serves as a center for practical activities, research, and training that support students’ understanding of the working principles and characteristics of electrical energy conversion systems.

The laboratory is equipped with DC machines, synchronous machines, transformer modules, and induction motors, which are used to study the conversion of electrical energy to mechanical energy and vice versa. Through hands-on experiments, students can perform testing, efficiency analysis, and operational parameter measurements of various types of electric machines.
