The Engineering Drawing Laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) serves as a practical learning center that supports student mastery of Engineering Drawing I and II courses. This laboratory offers hands-on experience in both manual and computer-aided technical drawing using appropriate tools and software.

The main objectives of the laboratory activities are to enable students to:

1. Develop fundamental skills in manual technical drawing,

2. Operate Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create industry-standard technical drawings.

The laboratory hosts two primary practical modules:

• Mechanical Drawing Practicum, focusing on manual drafting techniques relevant to mechanical engineering,

• CAD Drawing Practicum, emphasizing the use of design software for precision technical illustrations.

With its available resources, this laboratory plays a key role in equipping students with essential visualization and technical drawing competencies required in professional engineering practice.
