Description

The Foundry Laboratory is a pivotal facility within the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, USU. This laboratory specializes in metal casting processes, encompassing both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Serving as a hub for both research and learning, students pursuing studies in metal casting can perform a variety of practical modules here, including testing the permeability, strength, and moisture content of molding sand, along with mold making and the casting process itself.
