Description
The Urban and Settlement Laboratory serves as a vital hub within the Department of Architecture, accommodating research and activities related to Urban Architecture, Urban Planning, Housing and Settlements, and the application and management of Land Use. It also supports courses such as Survey Mapping and Digitalization, Built Environment Planning Studies, Sustainable Tourism Planning, and Urban Sociology. As an integral part of the Center of Excellence for Sustainable Tourism (MCSTO), the laboratory is regularly utilized for course discussions, including Built Environment Planning Studies, Urban Planning, Urban Development Management Studio, Urban Sociology, and Housing and Settlements in the odd semester, along with Urban Architecture and Urban Management and Land Use in the even semester. Students can also choose elective courses like Sustainable Tourism Planning, Applied Urban Planning, Settlement Area Planning, and Survey, Mapping, and Digitalization. Furthermore, the laboratory provides a dedicated space for students to gather research materials, undertake practical work, complete major assignments, conduct research, and engage in community service, fostering collaboration and discussions with the laboratory team and other organizations.
