The Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has established a partnership with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam, Malaysia, in the areas of student exchange and international research collaboration.

Through the student exchange program, several USU Chemical Engineering students attended lectures and academic activities at UiTM from March to August 2023. This program aims to broaden global perspectives, enhance cross-cultural competencies, and strengthen students’ international academic networks.

In addition, the collaboration also includes joint research under the USU Talenta Research Scheme, conducted in partnership with Assoc. Prof. Abdul Hadi from UiTM. This research focuses on sustainable chemical engineering and process technology development, as part of USU’s commitment to strengthening its international research capacity.
