Hamidah Harahap was born in Medan on October 29, 1967, and is a lecturer in Polymer Technology at the Universitas Sumatera Utara. She completed a Doctoral Program in Polymer Technology at the School of Materials and Mineral Resources of Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2011.
