Isra Suryati is a dedicated lecturer in Environmental Engineering at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Universitas Andalas in 2003 and her Master's degree in Environmental Science from Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2005.
Since 2014, Mrs. Isra has been actively teaching, conducting research, and devoting herself to the community with full loyalty. Her areas of interest in Environmental Engineering include air quality, climate change, environmental management, and waste management. Her publication results can be accessed through ResearchGate and SINTA.
In addition to being active in the Tridharma of Higher Education, Mrs. Isra is also frequently invited as a speaker at various levels, both nationally (such as IMTLI) and provincially and city-level, to discuss climate change literacy.
Before becoming a lecturer, Mrs. Isra had experience as an environmental consultant. She has worked on more than 50 environmental documents, such as AMDAL and DELH, in various regions of Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua.
Mrs. Isra's experience in environmental consulting makes her a valuable partner in various collaborations between Universitas Sumatera Utara and the government, BUMN, and the private sector. She has been involved in the PROPER PT INALUM verification team, the waste management planning team in the Lake Toba area, the PT Pertamina SDGs verification team, the PT PLN Social Mapping team, and many more.
