Dr. Ir. Nelson Manumpak Siahaan, Dipl.TP., M.Arch. is a senior lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, specializing in architecture, urban planning, and natural resource and environmental management. Born in Binjai on November 27, 1958, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Institut Teknologi Bandung (1979–1986). He then pursued further studies at the University of New South Wales, Australia, where he obtained a Graduate Diploma in Urban Planning (1990–1991) and a Master of Architecture (1992–1993). He completed his highest academic qualification with a Doctorate in Natural Resource and Environmental Management from Universitas Sumatera Utara (2008–2012).
