Ir. Rudolf Sitorus, MLA is a senior lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Born in Simalungun on February 24, 1958, he has a strong academic background in architecture and landscape architecture. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Ir.) from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) and later pursued a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture (MLA) at Ball State University. As an educator, he teaches Introduction to Outdoor Space Design, Architectural Design 3, and Landscape Architecture at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
Beyond teaching, Ir. Rudolf Sitorus, MLA is actively involved in research and academic publications, with several works published in national and international journals. Some of his notable publications include "A Contemporary Design of Karunia Memorial Park and Green Crematorium in Medan" (Jurnal Koridor, 2022), "Revitalizing the Former Tobacco Ripening Area PTPN II (Designing Deli Tobacco Museum and Hostel)" (International Journal of Architecture and Urbanism, 2022), "Creativity Center for Child-Friendly Settlements in Kampung Hamdan-Sukaraja With Behavioral Architecture Approach" (International Journal of Architecture and Urbanism, 2021), and "Performance Spaces in Lumban Silintong Area" (IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020).
