ARCODE 2026 also featured Ar. Partogi Pandiangan, IAI, from RAD+ar, as a speaker on the first day of the Architecture Open Days and Exhibition (ARCODE) 2026 series. He delivered a presentation entitled “Expression of Form and Meaning: Radical Compositions Breaking Through Global Appreciation.”
This session provided an opportunity to discuss how the exploration of form can be developed together with architectural narratives and meanings. The participation of a practitioner allowed participants to view the design process as a series of decisions that need to be accounted for, rather than merely the creation of visual objects.

This activity most strongly supports SDG 4 on Quality Education through enriching design learning with practitioners. Discussions on form, meaning, and the quality of the built environment are also related to SDG 11, particularly in strengthening the perspectives of prospective architects in designing valuable spaces.
The Faculty of Engineering USU continues to connect studio education with developments in architectural thought and practice. The presentation is expected to encourage students to develop the courage to explore while maintaining conceptual depth and responsibility toward context.
