The BKSTI Central successfully held the 10th BKSTI Congress and National Seminar on Industrial Engineering (SENASTI) 2023 on October 3-5, 2023, at East Parc Hotel, Yogyakarta. The event carried the theme "Towards Industrial Sustainability with The Empowerment of Digital Technology" and featured discussions addressing challenges and opportunities in digitization for industrial sustainability. Representing Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering, Ir. Aulia Ishak, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM, alongside the Program Secretary, Ir. Rahmi M. Sari, S.T., M.M.(T), actively participated in this important forum.
The BKSTI Congress, held every three years, serves as a strategic platform for the Industrial Engineering community across Indonesia to shape the future direction of the profession and foster collaboration. During this congress, it was decided that the 11th BKSTI Congress in 2026 would take place at Lake Toba, North Sumatra, with BKSTI Region Sumatra 1 as the organizing committee. This upcoming event is expected to strengthen inter-institutional synergy and positively impact national industrial development.
