On Wednesday, 7 January 2026, a visit was conducted in the context of coordinating the formation of the Technical Team for Buildings/Structures at the Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone (KEK Sei Mangkei), held at the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Engineering, USU.

The agenda was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPU (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering USU), Ir. Muhammad Agung Putra Handana, S.T., M.T. (Secretary of the Civil Engineering Study Program), Ir. Titi Hayati, S.T., M.T. (Expert Staff for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation), and was also attended by Mr. Irwan Hercules Sitorus (Acting Head of the Administrator of the Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone), along with other representatives from the Administrator of the Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone.
The Technical Team for Buildings/Structures of KEK Sei Mangkei will be tasked with examining and supervising construction projects initiated by business entities/operators within KEK Sei Mangkei, starting from the planning and construction stages through to the functional feasibility testing of buildings/structures.
