On August 14, the third day of FT USU PKKMB 2026 began with a morning assembly, with Zaid Perdana Nasution, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization of FT USU, serving as the assembly leader.

The next agenda included waste sorting and tree planting activities as part of an introduction to environmental awareness for new students. These activities provided participants with an opportunity to learn about simple practices related to environmental management and shared responsibility for the campus environment.

The new students also participated in an introduction to departmental student associations and learned about their various achievements. The program continued with games facilitated by the organizing committee to encourage interaction, communication, and a sense of togetherness among participants.

At approximately 2:00 p.m. WIB, FT USU’s new students were directed back to the FISIP Twin Field to attend the university-level PKKMB closing ceremony led by USU Rector, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. After the ceremony concluded, the students returned to the Faculty of Engineering to attend the FT USU PKKMB closing ceremony together with the faculty leadership.

This activity primarily supports SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production through the introduction of waste-sorting practices to new students. Tree planting is also related to SDG 13 – Climate Action, while the introduction to student organizations and learning activities throughout PKKMB are relevant to SDG 4 – Quality Education. FT USU remains committed to encouraging new students to develop an academic culture that is environmentally conscious, collaborative, and responsible.
