On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Zaid Perdana Nasution, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Partnerships, and Information at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), visited the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FT UGM) to study the governance of the Center for Collaborative Partnership Studies (PK LKFT) and the Engineering Research and Innovation Center (ERIC).
During the visit, the Faculty of Engineering UGM presented the role of PK LKFT in supporting partnership management, administrative coordination, and collaboration with government institutions and industry partners. Meanwhile, ERIC showcased its role in strengthening research through laboratory services, sample testing, startup incubation and mentoring, as well as quality assurance initiatives that comply with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
The visit served as a valuable opportunity to exchange best practices while strengthening prospects for collaboration between FT USU and FT UGM in advancing research, innovation, institutional governance, and industry engagement.
