The Faculty of Engineering USU held a discussion on the completion of the construction of the FT USU musala on August 28, 2026. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering USU; Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T., Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering USU; Ir. Ikhsan Siregar, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., University Secretary; and Sugiat Santoso, S.E., M.S.P., member of the House of Representatives.

The meeting discussed various matters related to the continuation and completion of the musala construction, including support and steps that could be taken so that the facility could soon be optimally utilized by students, lecturers, education staff, and the entire academic community of the Faculty of Engineering USU.

The existence of a musala within the Faculty of Engineering is expected to serve not only as a worship facility but also as a space that supports character building, togetherness, and a comfortable and inclusive campus environment.

This activity is related to SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, particularly in providing public facilities and an inclusive and sustainable campus environment; and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, through cross-sector dialogue to support campus facility needs.

Through coordination and synergy among the faculty, university, and various stakeholders, the Faculty of Engineering USU continues to strive to improve the quality of supporting facilities to support the activities and well-being of the academic community.
