Four students from the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), class of 2020, namely Gabriel Alexandro Sembiring, Joi Jogi Pratama Pakpahan, Muhammad Ibrahim Syah, and Muhammad Reihan Triandhika, have officially started their internship program at PT. PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk, Turangie Estate. The internship spans 4 months, from September 26, 2022, to January 31, 2023. During the first month, the students are required to study the entire operations of the palm oil mill, while the remaining three months will be spent working in designated stations to gain in-depth knowledge of specific production processes.
The program aims to provide hands-on experience for the students to understand the operations of a palm oil mill, including the technology and management systems employed. It is expected that upon completing this internship, they will master various aspects of palm oil mill operations and be able to implement their knowledge in their professional careers or future academic pursuits.
