Medan - October 15, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering USU continues to strengthen institutional governance through the execution of the Work Meeting for the Integrity Zone toward a Zone of Integrity / Corruption-Free Area (ZI-WBK). This activity is part of the faculty's commitment to supporting the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform and building governance that is increasingly transparent, accountable, and oriented toward improving service quality.
The meeting was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering USU (Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T.) alongside Zaid Perdana Nasution, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Internationalization). The event also involved leadership elements, managers, and teams involved in building the Integrity Zone within FT USU. The main discussion focused on filling out the 2026 Evaluation Worksheet (LKE) as one of the instruments in the implementation and evaluation of Integrity Zone construction. This process is important to map the execution of various leveraging components as well as outcomes that support the creation of a work unit with good governance.

In addition to the LKE, the meeting discussed the Anti-Corruption Perception Survey and the Service Quality Perception Survey. Both instruments are key parts in gaining an overview of service users' perceptions regarding integrity, transparency, and service quality provided by the Faculty of Engineering USU.
Building an Integrity Zone is not only related to fulfilling administrative documents, but also to forming a work culture that upholds integrity, professionalism, transparency, accountability, and user-oriented service. Therefore, cross-sector coordination is necessary to ensure these principles are applied across various work processes within the faculty environment.
The work meeting also served as an evaluation space for FT USU to identify aspects that still need to be strengthened in the process of building the Integrity Zone. This evaluation is expected to drive continuous improvement, whether in administrative governance, academic services, resource management, or services to students and other stakeholders.
Through the execution of the ZI-WBK Work Meeting, the Faculty of Engineering USU affirms its commitment to supporting Bureaucratic Reform through strengthening clean and accountable work systems. This effort is part of the institution's steps toward building public services that are increasingly effective while increasing public trust in service delivery within the higher education environment.
This activity primarily supports SDG 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through strengthening institutional integrity, accountability, and service quality. FT USU continues to drive transparent, integrity-based governance oriented toward improving service quality as part of bureaucratic reform within the faculty environment.
