Medan, August 18, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), held a Graduate Preparation Program under the theme “Beyond Graduation: Starting a Career in the Industrial World.” The activity served as a career preparation session for prospective graduates before entering the professional world.
The session featured Mahbub Handoko Husein, S.T., M.M., CPHRM, Senior Manager of HR & Corporate Affairs at PT Evyap Sabun Indonesia, as the speaker. Also in attendance were Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni of FT USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T.; the Head of the Student and Alumni Subdivision; Expert Staff Meidina Zulfa Hanie, S.T., M.T.; and prospective graduates of FT USU.
The preparation session featured a presentation followed by interaction between the speaker and participants. The activity was designed to broaden prospective graduates’ understanding of readiness for the industrial world and professional career development.
The activity primarily supports SDG 4: Quality Education through learning and capacity development for students approaching graduation. It is also relevant to SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by strengthening prospective graduates’ readiness to enter professional work environments.
