The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), finalized the accreditation documents for the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering on September 7, 2026. The activity was part of the preparation process for accreditation by LAM Teknik, which had been carried out through several stages of reviewing the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) and Self-Evaluation Report (LED).
The finalization was attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of FT USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T.; the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc.; the Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Halimatuddahliana, S.T., M.Sc.; and the relevant team.
The previous stages included reviewing educational relevance and outcomes, accountability and resources, team structure and external environment analysis, as well as mission differentiation and the quality assurance system. The finalization served as a consolidation stage before the scheduled submission of the documents on September 10, 2026.
This activity primarily supports SDG 4—Quality Education through strengthening the quality assurance of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering. SDG 16—Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions is also relevant through documentation, coordination, and accountable academic governance. FT USU is committed to maintaining a systematic and evidence-based accreditation process.
