Medan, August 7, 2026 — The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), held the Finalization of the FT KBE Draft Document as part of its efforts to strengthen internal governance and institutional planning.
The activity was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T., Dean of FT USU; Dr. Eng. Ir. Taufiq Bin Nur, S.T., M.Eng.Sc.; Prof. Dr. Ir. Halimatuddahliana, S.T., M.Sc.; Dr. Ir. Bambang Trisakti, M.Si.; Ir. Suprianto, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.; Ir. Tania Alda, S.T., M.T.; and Ilham Perkasa Bako, S.T., M.T.
The finalization agenda served as a coordination forum to review and refine the FT KBE Draft Document before it is utilized as part of the faculty's internal needs. The involvement of faculty members was expected to ensure that the document was developed in a more structured manner while taking into account relevant input and considerations.
The process of finalizing the document reflects the importance of systematic planning in supporting institutional governance. A well-prepared planning document can provide a common reference for units within the faculty and help ensure that institutional programs and activities are implemented in a coordinated manner.
This initiative is closely aligned with SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, particularly through efforts to strengthen coordination, institutional processes, and document governance within the faculty.
Through this activity, FT USU continues to promote structured, participatory, and sustainable academic governance to support the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education. The faculty remains committed to strengthening institutional governance through systematic planning, coordination, and continuous improvement.
