Medan, August 19, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), through the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering, conducted a review of the LKPS and LED documents as part of preparations for LAMTEK accreditation. At this stage, the review focused on aspects related to educational relevance, community service, students, and student outcomes.
The activity was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T., Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc., Head of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering; Prof. Dr. Ir. Halimatuddahliana, S.T., M.Sc., Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering; and members of the Study Program Accreditation Team. The involvement of faculty leadership and study program management supported the review of the documents from both academic and governance perspectives.
During the activity, the team reviewed the data and narratives presented in the LKPS and LED documents. The review was conducted collaboratively to assess the consistency of the information, the connections between different sections of the documents, and the completeness of the required supporting evidence. This collaborative approach also provided an opportunity to identify areas that still required improvement.
The activity primarily contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education by strengthening quality assurance processes in higher education. Its additional relevance to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions is reflected in efforts to strengthen study program governance through structured document review and evaluation.
FT USU continues to strengthen its commitment to fostering a culture of quality through continuous evaluation, coordination, and improvement of accreditation documents. The review of the LKPS and LED is part of the effort to ensure that the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering has consistent and comprehensive documentation that accurately represents the implementation of the study program, while strengthening its readiness for the next stage of the LAMTEK accreditation process.
