On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the Guest Lecture & Inauguration of the IC Design Study Club was held at the Smart Classroom, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPM, along with the guest lecture, Prof. Dr. techn. Herman Jalli Ng from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Karlsruhe, Germany. Also present were faculty members and students from the Electrical Engineering Study Program.

The event began with an opening speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, followed by a presentation from the guest lecture on the topic "Millimeter Waves on Silicon: Potentials and Opportunities of Semiconductor Technology in High-Frequency Applications." After the presentation, an interactive discussion session took place between participants and the speaker.
The event concluded with a group photo session and the presentation of a souvenir from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, to the guest lecture.
