In line with this commitment, the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially inaugurated the Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs for the 2026–2031 term on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The inauguration reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to strengthening academic governance through leadership renewal at the study program level.
During the ceremony, many academic staff from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), were entrusted with leadership roles as Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs across undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and professional education levels.
The newly appointed academic leaders include Dr. Ika Puji Hastuty, S.T., M.T., as Head of the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering, accompanied by Ir. Ivan Indrawan, S.T., M.T., as Secretary of the Study Program. For the Master's Program in Civil Engineering and the Doctoral Program in Civil Engineering, Ir. Gina Cynthia Raphita Hasibuan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., was appointed as Head of the Study Program, with Dr. Ir. M. Ridwan Anas, S.T., M.T., serving as Secretary. In the Undergraduate Program in Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Ir. Andianto Pintoro, S.T., M.T., was inaugurated as Head of the Study Program, accompanied by Dian Morfi Nasution, S.T., M.T., as Secretary. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tulus Burhanuddin Sitorus, S.T., M.T., was appointed Head of the Master's Program in Mechanical Engineering and Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering, with Ir. Suprianto, S.T., M.T., serving as Secretary.
For the Undergraduate Program in Electrical Engineering, Dr. Ir. Soeharwinto, S.T., M.T., was appointed Head of the Study Program, accompanied by Muhammad Safril, S.T., M.T., as Secretary. For the Master's Program in Electrical Engineering and Doctoral Program in Electrical Engineering, Prof. Ir. Yulianta Siregar, S.T., M.T., was inaugurated as Head of the Study Program, accompanied by Dr. Ir. Naemah Mubarakah, S.T., M.T., as Secretary. In the Undergraduate Program in Industrial Engineering, Dr. Tuti Sarma Sinaga, S.T., M.T., was appointed Head of the Study Program, with Dr. Ir. Andri Nasution, S.T., M.T., serving as Secretary. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Anizar, M.Kes., was appointed Head of the Master's Program in Industrial Engineering and Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering, accompanied by Dr. Ir. Ahmad Shalihin, S.T., M.T., as Secretary.
For the Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc., was appointed Head of the Study Program, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ir. Halimahtuddahliana, S.T., M.T., as Secretary. For the Master's Program in Chemical Engineering and Doctoral Program in Chemical Engineering, Dr. Ir. Bambang Trisakti, M.Si., was inaugurated as Head of the Study Program, with Farida Hanum, S.T., M.T., serving as Secretary. In the Undergraduate Program in Architecture, Dr. Ar. Wahyuni Zahrah, S.T., M.S., IAI, was appointed Head of the Study Program, accompanied by Ar. Devin Defriza Harisdani, S.T., M.T., as Secretary. Meanwhile, Prof. Ar. Ir. Hilma Tamiami Fachrudin, S.T., M.T., was inaugurated as Head of the Master's Program in Architecture and Doctoral Program in Architecture and Urban Studies, with Dr. Salmina Wati Ginting, S.T., M.T., serving as Secretary.
In addition, Dr. Amir Husin, S.T., M.T., was appointed Head of the Undergraduate Program in Environmental Engineering, accompanied by Dian Novrida Harpah Hasibuan, S.Si., M.T., as Secretary. In the Professional Engineer Program, Ir. Nismah Panjaitan, S.T., M.T., was inaugurated as Head of the Study Program, while Dr. Ir. Ar. Achmad Delianur Nasution, S.T., M.T., was appointed Head of the Professional Architect Program. For the Undergraduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning, Dr. Anthoni Veery Mardianta, S.T., M.T., was appointed Head of the Study Program, accompanied by Hajar Suwantoro, S.T., M.T., as Secretary. Prof. Ar. Beny Octofryana Yousca Marpaung, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., was appointed Head of the Master's Program in Urban and Regional Planning, while Dr. Ir. Khalida Syahputri, S.T., M.T., was inaugurated as Head of the Undergraduate Program in Logistics Engineering.
The Faculty of Engineering expressed its appreciation to the previous Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs for their dedication and valuable contributions to academic excellence, educational development, and the continuous advancement of the faculty's study programs. Their achievements have laid a strong foundation for the sustainable growth and future development of FT USU.
The inauguration supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), through the strengthening of academic governance and institutional leadership. The initiative also contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by enhancing educational quality, improving academic services, and fostering broader collaboration. FT USU remains committed to promoting adaptive, collaborative, and quality-oriented academic leadership in support of educational excellence and sustainable development.
