PT Jaya Obayashi is a construction company that is a joint venture between Obayashi Corporation, one of the largest construction companies in Japan, held a Mini Workshop at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara on September 5, 2024. The event took place at the USU Faculty of Engineering Hall.
PT Jaya Obayashi itself is one of the partner companies that has been working with the USU Faculty of Engineering since 2023. This year's Mini Workshop, with the theme “Inspiring Young Leaders in Sustainable Development”, invited USU Faculty of Engineering students to learn more about scholarship opportunities from Jaya Obayashi, careers in the Data Center, and recruitment opportunities.
The Dean of the USU Faculty of Engineering (Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPM) and Vice Dean III of the USU Faculty of Engineering (Ir. Nismah Panjaitan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU) welcomed Jaya Obayashi to the Faculty of Engineering and gave opening remarks at the event.
In this workshop, there were several important figures from Jaya Obayashi who provided material and experiences related to careers at Jaya Obayashi, especially in the data field. HR&GA Manager of PT Jaya Obayashi (Rina Ambarwati) explained about scholarship and employment opportunities for students at the USU Faculty of Engineering. Then, Tatsuhiko Miyashita (General Manager of Mechanical & Electrical) PT Jaya Obayashi explained about the future of the data science world and the great career opportunities at Jaya Obayashi Data Center.
With this workshop, hopefully in the future more USU Faculty of Engineering graduates will be able to pursue a career in data and construction with PT Jaya Obayashi.
