He said, "One example of the development strategy is by allocating funds for village development. From the equalization of the allocation of the Village Development Fund, it also significantly impacts the poverty rate in each village. Because from these funds, they can develop the village by building and developing the potential of the village or from the local wisdom that is owned, and according to President Jokowi that it is time for Equality not only in Java but also must be felt by every region and village in Indonesia," said Luhut Panjaitan as the former Meko Polhukam RI.
On this occasion Luhut Panjaitan also mentioned about Tax Amnesty which is currently being programmed by the government. "The purpose of this tax amnesty is to collect taxation database to increase long-term tax revenue, increase tax in 2016, and improve taxation IT system. So that with the achievement of the objectives of Tax Amnesty, the government can regulate the reduction of tax rates as well as strengthening tax law enforcement," said Luhut.
Tax Amnesty, according to the definition expressed by Luhut Panjaitan, was an elimination of taxes that should be owed, not subject to tax administrative sanctions and criminal sanctions in the field of taxation, by revealing assets and paying ransom as stipulated in the law.
