On Saturday, October 19, 2019, the Napak Tilas Teknik Mesin USU event, themed “Gather-Unite-Brotherhood,” was successfully held. The event was attended by alumni of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Ir. M. Sabri, M.T., IPM. Asean Eng., as the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering USU, along with lecturers and active students of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
Universitas Sumatera Utara's Mechanical Engineering Department is well-known for its slogan, Msolver, which inspired the event's focus on solidarity, togetherness, and bonding between alumni and current students. Students hope this event will continue to be held regularly, even if not every year.
