The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held an OHS&E Socialization and Firefighting Simulation on October 23, 2025, to raise occupational safety and health awareness within the campus environment.

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering held an OHS&E (Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment) Socialization and Firefighting Simulation (Use of Fire Extinguishers and Hydrants) at the Faculty of Engineering Hall, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).

 

The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPU (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, USU) and featured representatives from the Medan City Fire and Rescue Department, with participation from students and academic staff.

 

The purpose of the socialization activity was to provide training and education about OHS&E to increase awareness and responsibility, reduce the risk of workplace accidents, and improve work productivity.

Through this socialization activity, all members of the Faculty of Engineering, USU, are expected to comply with the applicable OHS&E regulations and standards to create a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
