Medan, August 13, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), introduced the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum to new students as part of the 2026 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB).
The OBE Curriculum session provided an initial introduction to the connection between the learning process and the outcomes expected of students. Through the session, new students gained an understanding of the importance of recognizing learning objectives, developing competencies progressively, and actively participating in the academic process.

The activity primarily supports SDG 4: Quality Education through the introduction of an outcome-based curriculum and a competency-oriented approach to student development. It is also relevant to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by strengthening transparency and students’ understanding of academic governance.
FT USU remains committed to strengthening the implementation of OBE through learning processes that are structured, measurable, and oriented toward educational outcomes.
