Medan, August 13, 2026 – On the second day of PKKMB FT USU 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), conducted Material VIII focusing on the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS).

Class A, held in the FT USU Hall, featured Narosu Siregar, S.T., M.Sc.; Class B, held in Room J09.102, featured Yasmine Anggia Sari, S.Si., M.T.; Class C, held in Room J09.103, featured Tengku Mahmud Aria Lamantjiji, S.T., M.T.; and Class D, held in Room J09.110, featured Dr. Anthoni Veery Mardianta, S.T., M.T., IAP., CIIQA.

Class E, held in Room J09.111, was delivered by Adrian Hilman, S.TP., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Class F, held at IKATSI Civil Engineering, featured Ir. Tania Alda, S.T., M.T.; while Class G, held in the Civil Engineering Smart Classroom, featured Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc.

The session explained the functions of protection, assistance, and recovery for students experiencing various forms of violence in the campus environment. It also introduced service principles that prioritize independence, prompt response, transparency, and confidentiality. Through this introduction, new students gained an initial understanding of the support and protection mechanisms available within the university.

The activity primarily supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by strengthening a safe campus environment and institutional protection mechanisms. It is also relevant to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being through the provision of protection and recovery support for students.

Through this activity, FT USU reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive educational environment where students have access to responsible and reliable protection mechanisms.
