On Thursday, June 15, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, was entrusted to host the Forum of Indonesian Engineering Deans (FDTI). The FDTI event took place in Medan and Parapat from June 15 to 17, 2023. The forum was attended by deans and academic staff from various engineering faculties across Indonesia.
The opening ceremony was held at the Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Auditorium.
The ceremony began with the opening ceremony, featuring the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by several speeches. The first speech was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPM. The next speech was presented by the Chair of FDTI, Prof. Ir. Selo, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. (UGM).
The 2023 FDTI discussed several key agendas, including the evaluation of FDTI programs, a plenary session to discuss the FDTI statutes, the handover of statutes, a memorandum of understanding (MoU), and an accountability report.
