The 15th International Product Design Competition & 9th National Conference on Industrial Engineering (PDC NCIE) is an annual event organized by the Production Systems Laboratory, Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Through this national and international-scale conference and competition, students, researchers, and industry practitioners are invited to share knowledge, research findings, and showcase their latest product design innovations.
As part of the PDC NCIE series, a Product Design Competition (PDC) is held specifically for 2023 cohort students of the Industrial Engineering Department, supporting the Product Design and Development course. Participants will apply theories and methods learned in class in a structured competition format.
To further enhance creativity and English communication skills, the PDC NCIE committee also organizes an English Debate Competition for the 2023 cohort students. This activity is designed to boost confidence, fluency, and argumentation skills in English.
With its comprehensive series of events, PDC NCIE is expected to expand professional networks and inspire the creation of innovative and sustainable design solutions.
