A lecturer from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., has been recognized as one of the top 2% most influential scientists in the world, according to Elsevier BV and Stanford University. As of October 20, 2021, the list included 58 Indonesian-affiliated scientists in the single-year category, with Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., a Professor in USU’s Mechanical Engineering Program, ranked 44th.
Prof. Himsar Ambarita expressed his gratitude and motivation to conduct more impactful research, especially technology-based studies that contribute to facilitating social and economic functions.
"I hope that in the coming years, more USU lecturers will make it to this list and significantly influence the development of science and technology," he said.
