Medan, June 28, 2025 – The Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FT USU), successfully held a public lecture on the crucial theme of "Loss Control Engineering". The event took place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, and featured expert speaker Ir. Henri Jonson Sitorus.

In this public lecture, Ir. Henri Jonson Sitorus delivered an in-depth explanation of various effective methods to prevent and control potential losses, particularly those that often occur in the industrial sector. He emphasized that Loss Control Engineering is not only about minimizing financial losses but also includes efforts to prevent workplace accidents, asset damage, operational disruptions, and various other forms of inefficiency that can negatively affect a company’s productivity and sustainability.


The event was met with great enthusiasm from the participants, most of whom were students from USU Industrial Engineering.
