The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has officially established a collaboration with the Amsterdam University Medical Center (AUMC), Universiteit van Amsterdam, Netherlands, during a visit from March 14 to 16, 2024. The primary agenda of the visit included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions and attending the Inaugural Professoren Biomedical Engineering event. This partnership aims to strengthen academic, research, and capacity-building synergy between USU and AUMC.
The scope of the collaboration includes the Adjunct Professor Program, Guest Lecturer, Webinar with Top Scientists, Student and Staff Mobility, Summer Courses, and World-Class Research Collaboration. Through this partnership, the Faculty of Engineering at USU aims to enhance the quality of education and research in support of its vision to become a world-class university. The program is also expected to provide students and staff with global exposure and opportunities to expand international networks.
