A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) have been signed between Universitas Sumatera Utara and the Faculty of Engineering at USU with PT. Pacific Medan Industri (PAMIN) to strengthen collaboration in the field of education and student training. The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in the Academic Senate Room on the second floor of the USU Rectorate Building.
The signing event was attended by the Vice Rector for Human Resources and Finance at USU, Dr. Muhammad Arifin Nasution, S.Sos., M.SP, and the Operational Director of PT. Pacific Medan Industri, Ali Saleh Ali Sulaiman. Representatives from the Faculty of Engineering included the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPM, and the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Engineering, Ir. Nismah Pajaitan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU.
As part of its CSR program titled "Care for Education," PT PAMIN had previously donated various practical tools to the Faculty of Engineering at USU on July 30, 2024, which included a blow molding machine, a margarine filling machine, and several other devices.
