Three teams and lecturers from the USU Faculty of Engineering qualified for PIMNAS 2025 with diverse research innovations in biofoam, nutrient detection, and technology-based literacy centers.

Congratulations to the three teams and lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering who have qualified for the 2025 National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS):

  1. BIOFLAEIS Team: “Biofoam from Oil Palm Frond Waste (Elaeis guineensis) and Papaya Leaves (Carica papaya) as Environmentally Friendly and Sustainable Packaging”
    Lecturer: Ir. Ilham Perkasa Bako, S.T., M.T.

  2. NIRMAS Team: “Portable Macronutrient Detection Device Based on Near-Infrared Integrated with Machine Learning and a Nutritional Management System to Control Healthy Eating Patterns”
    Lecturer: Ryandika Afdila, S.T., M.Eng.Sc.

  3. Literacy Catalyst Team: “Literacy Catalyst Building: A New Face of a Literacy Center Based on MR, AI, and Robotics to Realize Golden Indonesia 2045”
