The Chemical Engineering Study Program at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Training of Trainers (TOT) entitled “Implementation of Practicum Implementation Techniques in the Laboratory” on Saturday, September 7, 2024. This activity was attended by laboratory assistants and laboratory assistants, with the aim of increasing competence and efficiency in organizing laboratory practicum, especially in the field of Chemical Engineering.
This TOT presents two speakers who are experienced in laboratory and practicum management, namely:
- Afiifah Radhiyatul, S.T., who presented material related to laboratory management and effective practicum organization techniques.
- Herni Santi, who provided technical guidance on work safety in the laboratory and how to handle hazardous chemicals.
This activity focuses on providing hands-on training for laboratory assistants to carry out their roles more professionally, efficiently, and safely in managing various types of practicum. Thus, it is expected that the implementation of student practicum can run smoothly and in accordance with safety standards and academic quality set by the university.
