USU Chemical Engineering students' internship programs in 13 large industrial companies enrich their technical skills and work experience. A total of 55 students participated in this program to improve their readiness to face the industrial world.
The Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the competence of its students through internship programs in various major industries in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Riau. A total of 55 undergraduate Chemical Engineering students were selected to take part in the internship program at 13 leading companies engaged in various industrial sectors, including pulp and paper, palm oil, and chemicals.
In this internship program, students will gain hands-on experience working in the field, improve their technical skills, and broaden their horizons related to the industrial world relevant to the field of Chemical Engineering.

This program also supports the vision of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, which encourages students to gain real work experience in the industry before graduation. A total of 55 interns have been placed, while 3 other students are still in the process of being placed in various locations.
This internship program is expected to prepare USU students to face challenges in the world of work with more ready-to-use skills, expand industry networks, and deepen the technical understanding they gain during lectures.
