Medan, July 13, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Progress Evaluation Meeting for the Faculty's KBE Framework in the second-floor meeting room of the Faculty of Engineering.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni; Zaid Perdana Nasution, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization; Dr. Eng. Ir. Taufiq Bin Nur, S.T., M.Eng.Sc.; Ilham Perkasa Bako, S.T., M.T.; and Muhammad Safril, S.T., M.T.

The participation of representatives from various areas of the faculty was intended to support a comprehensive review of the KBE framework from multiple institutional perspectives. The evaluation meeting focused on assessing the progress of the framework while providing an opportunity to align priorities and determine the next stages of its development.

The initiative supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by strengthening institutional planning and governance through structured evaluation processes. Reviewing the progress of the framework has the potential to enhance coordination and improve the quality of decision-making at the faculty level.

The Faculty of Engineering, USU, remains committed to strengthening institutional governance through continuous evaluation, coordination, and responsible planning. These efforts are expected to support the systematic and sustainable development of the faculty's organizational structure and institutional programs.
