The USU Faculty of Engineering collaborates with the Medan Environmental Agency through the provision of ambient air monitoring equipment to support the Clean Indonesia 2029 initiative.
On Friday, December 5, 2025, a Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony between the USU Faculty of Engineering and the Medan Environmental Agency was held at the Medan Mayor’s Office.
The agenda was attended by Melvi Marlabayana, S.T., M.Si. (Head of the Medan Environmental Agency); the Mayor of Medan represented by Dr. Citra Effendi Capah (Assistant for Economy and Development); and Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPU (Dean of the USU Faculty of Engineering) as well as Zaid Perdana Nasution, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Head of the Environmental Engineering Study Program).
The collaboration between the USU Faculty of Engineering and the Medan Environmental Agency involves the provision of an Ambient Air Cleanliness Monitoring System (SPKUA) to the Environmental Engineering Study Program of the USU Faculty of Engineering. This cooperation aims to support the development of scientific knowledge, particularly in the field of environmental studies, to accelerate the achievement of Clean Indonesia 2029 and to strengthen scientific collaboration and synergy between the USU Faculty of Engineering and the Medan Environmental Agency.
