The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Udayana, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The visit, aimed at fostering collaboration, took place in the Faculty of Engineering’s meeting room at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The meeting was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPM, and attended by Vice Dean III, Ir. Nismah Panjaitan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU, along with the Heads and Secretaries of the Study Programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental Engineering.
The Universitas Udayana delegation comprised faculty leaders and representatives from various study programs, including Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Information Technology.
Following the meeting, the Universitas Udayana team toured the laboratories within the Faculty of Engineering, USU.
This visit and meeting are expected to result in the following outcomes:
Agreement on Collaboration: Signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Udayana, and the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
Concrete Research Collaboration: Developing tangible plans for joint research projects involving faculty members from both universities.
Increase in Joint Publications: Boosting the number of co-authored scientific publications in nationally and internationally indexed journals.
Exchange Opportunities: Opening opportunities for faculty and student exchanges in the near future.
Strengthened Relations: Building a strong and lasting relationship between the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Udayana and Universitas Sumatera Utara.
