The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, conducted a working visit to Universitas Gadjah Mada and Universitas Islam Indonesia to share insights on joint degree programs, fast track systems, and learning outcome measurement.

To enhance the quality and development of academic activities at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara, FT USU conducted a working visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. The FT USU delegation included:

  1. Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T. (Vice Dean I)
  2. Prof. Dr. Ir. Rosdanelli Hasibuan, M.T. (Head of the Master’s/Doctoral Program in Chemical Engineering)
  3. Prof. Ir. Rosnani Ginting, M.T., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng. (Head of the Master’s/Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering)
  4. Dr. Tulus B. Sitorus, S.T, M.T. (Head of the Master’s/Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering)
  5. Ir. Aulia Ishak, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM (Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Industrial Engineering)
  6. Ryandika Afdilah, S.T, M.Eng.Sc. (Academic Advisor of FT)
  7. Riza Fouzan, S.T. (Head of Education Subdivision, FT)

The purpose of the visit was to gain insights from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and to discuss:

  1. The implementation of Joint/Double Degree Programs and their reporting mechanisms in the Academic Information System (SIA) and PDDIKTI.
  2. The Fast Track Program from Bachelor’s to Master’s and Master’s to Doctorate levels, including selection, lecture implementation, and reporting in SIA and PDDIKTI.
  3. Graduate learning outcome measurement systems.

The FT USU delegation was received on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM WIB, by:

  • Dean: Prof. Ir. Selo, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng.
  • Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs: Dr. Ir. Sugeng Sapto Surjono, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng.
  • Manager of Educational Services, Academic Development, and Graduate Programs: Prof. Ir. Bertha Maya Shopa, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng.
  • Other officials.


A follow-up visit to the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta, was conducted on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 9:30 to 11:45 AM WIB. The FT USU team was welcomed by:

  • Vice Dean for Resources: Dr. Agus Mansur, S.T., M.Eng.
  • Dr. Drs. Iman Djati Widodo, M.Eng.Sc (Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering).
  • Ir. M. Ridwan Andi Purnomo, S.T., M.Sc., IPM (Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Industrial Engineering).
  • Ir. Winda Nur Cahyo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM (Head of the Master’s Program in Industrial Engineering).
