The 2024 National Sports Week (PON) is the 21st edition of PON, with Aceh and North Sumatra as the hosts. This major multi-sport event took place from September 9 to 20, 2024.
Zaky Nabil Fauz, a student of the 2023 Mechanical Engineering batch, was part of the North Sumatra athlete team for the Drum Band sports category. Zaky's group participated in the 8000-meter Male Endurance and Precision Marching (LKKB) competition held on Arteri Road, Kualanamu, Deliserdang. Zaky and his group won 1st place in the LKKB competition. Congratulations to Zaky and wishing him continued success!
Several other Mechanical Engineering students also actively participated in the organization of PON XXI 2024 Aceh-Sumut as volunteers. Farhan Mahersya Dalimunthe (Mechanical Engineering ’22) volunteered for the Swimming event at Selayang Swimming Pool, Aldiansyah Hamid Lubis (Mechanical Engineering ’22) volunteered for the Cycling event at Jalan Lintas Sedang Bedagai-Parapat, and Rizaldi Akbar Harahap (Mechanical Engineering ’22) volunteered for the Bodybuilding event at Four Point Hotel.
