The Polymer concentration explores and develops environmentally friendly polymer-based materials. Key research areas include the production of starch-based bioplastics with additives, cellulose isolation from biomass, biofoam and polymer composite production, natural rubber latex-based polymer concrete modification, and hydrogel synthesis for industrial and biomedical applications.

Oleochemicals

This concentration focuses on chemical products derived from natural oils, especially palm oil. Research includes the synthesis of biomass-based heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel production, palm oil-based surfactant synthesis, enzymatic production of fatty acids, and the development of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) using efficient and sustainable processes.
