The meeting discussed various key aspects serving as accreditation assessment indicators, including the refinement of study program performance documents, evaluation of the implementation of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, achievements in the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), research and community service outputs, partnerships, as well as the strengthening of governance and the internal quality assurance system. Through constructive discussions, each team presented updates on document preparation while identifying strategic steps that need to be taken before the assessment process.
The activity reflected the commitment of the Chemical Engineering Study Program at USU to fostering a culture of quality and implementing continuous quality improvement to produce excellent and professional graduates capable of responding to the needs of industry and developments in science and technology. The synergy among all members of the academic community is expected to support the success of the accreditation process while enhancing the competitiveness of the Chemical Engineering Study Program at USU at both the national and international levels.
The accreditation preparation meeting also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through efforts to improve the quality of higher education and ensure the quality of learning, as well as SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, through strengthened institutional governance that is effective, transparent, accountable, and oriented toward continuous quality improvement.
