Medan – September 25, 2026, students of the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, USU, carried out a community clean-up activity as part of a routine agenda held at the end of every month.

The community clean-up activity provided students with an opportunity to build habits of caring for the environment while strengthening teamwork. Direct involvement ensured that the maintenance of campus areas did not depend solely on operational services but also became a concern of the people who use them. This routine activity resulted in direct attention to the areas being cleaned on the day of implementation.
This activity supports SDG 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities through efforts to maintain the cleanliness and comfort of the campus environment. Its connection to SDG 4 is reflected in the development of responsibility, teamwork, and environmental awareness through students' experiences beyond classroom learning.
