October 2, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering USU and the Aksata Pangan Indonesia Foundation held a Kickoff Meeting for the Food Drive Point Program in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Engineering as an initial follow-up to the Cooperation Agreement between the two parties.
The activity was attended by the Dean of FT USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Renita Manurung, M.T.; Manager of Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs, Reisya Ichwani, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.; and Manager of Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization, Emma Patricia Bangun, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., along with representatives of the Aksata Pangan Indonesia Foundation Team.

The meeting agenda included updates on the program's progress, discussions on the technical aspects and implementation mechanisms, as well as the development of a coordination scheme with relevant parties within FT USU. The discussion served as a basis for directing the implementation of the program in accordance with the scope of the cooperation, while also aligning information and opening opportunities for coordination among the parties.
This activity primarily supports SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals through cooperation between FT USU and the Aksata Pangan Indonesia Foundation. The Food Drive Point Program also has the potential to contribute to SDG 2 and SDG 12 through more responsible food management and support for food access once its implementation mechanisms are realized and the results can be verified.
